Power of We

FOCUSING INTERNALLY FIRST, THEN EXTERNALLY

Mazzi's Power of We Services are designed to impact the bottom line.

Learn what Mazzi does and how our services positively impacts a client's bottom line.

Judith Glaser,  author of Conversational Intelligence, reminds us that "trust is the single most precious ingredient for achieving success in business and in life.  It is the glue that holds us together."

what we do
Attempting to describe what we do is a unique challenge because every client and client situation is unique.  There are many factors influencing what and how we serve in partnership with our clients.

These factors include:
  • the size of company we are partnering with,
  • the marketplace pressures our client’s organization are experiencing,
  • the level of desire or commitment by our client's senior leaders to transform their current mode of conversing and working with each other (e.g., have they and the organization suffered enough, otherwise the pressure to continue “as is” very high), and
  • the philosophy of leaders and their culture relating to the need to consistently learn and evolve as an leader and an organization.
Mazzi is a company that creates and holds a space enabling the transformation and awakening of leaders, teams and the organizational system to their power (being integrally and holistically committed while creating together - both in the invisible and visible worlds).

Using experientially-based frameworks, built from Conversational Intelligence, Heart Math, Life-Planning and Integral-based methodologies, Mazzi models and embodies this power first.  We then co-create the space for our client’s powerful leader(s) to awaken to their individual and organization’s power.

We have found that our work is most impactful when the leader or power holder (e.g., CEO, Owner, President, or General Manager) agrees to embody the frameworks themselves first before asking other team members to use the frameworks.  Therefore we focus initially in partnering with the organizational or hierarchical-based power leader.

The saying may be trite but remains true in today’s world, that leadership must “go first.”
assess and deconstruct
Our assessments are built on watching how leaders and their teams are conversing and working together.
  • We create safe spaces for leaders and team members to fully show up and authentically identify and work through what really matters – especially the uncomfortable stuff.
  • We highlight the modes of talking using C-IQ’s three types of conversations.  Each level, along with understanding the context with which they’re used, creates a chemical reaction in the brain.

We begin our Business Transformation engagements with holding space while observing and assessing our lead clients’ capacity access to their own and their teams power (their teaming and partnering dynamics) as they work towards solving daily business challenges – individually and collectively (teams or groups).
teach, train and mentor
As our engagement time with our clients continues, we’ll continue to teach, train and mentor leaders and their team members in tackling their daily business challenges.  We do this so that the frameworks we used are internalized and begin to become second nature.

As our engagement time with our clients continues, we’ll continue to teach, train and partner with leaders and their team members in tackling their their daily business challenges.  We do this so that the frameworks we used are internalized and begin to become second nature.
find out more about conversational intelligence
We help leaders see new distinctions.  For example:
  • How we work and converse with each other can either shut us down (causing us to engage in either fight or flight actions) or open us up (causing us to engage in open creative and discovery actions)
  • How we work and converse with each other either builds trust (resulting in partnering-oriented actions) or eliminates trust (resulting in transaction-oriented actions)

As new creating We capacities are internalized and then matured we strategically begin transforming the human-operating system into a newly integral or holistic-based operating system.

A significant part of teaching and training happens as we walk with leaders and their teams.  During these hands on strategic-focused or tactically-focused times, we, by embodying (as living examples) the frameworks and hold the space for leaders and their team members to first experience and then use our frameworks.
deepen trust and connectivity
"Connecting to others is not just about passing information back and forth between us. Nor is it just about the words we use when we speak with each other.

In fact, verbal language accounts for only 7% of the exchange that takes place between people.  The tone and perceived intent of our interactions has far more power to influence our neurochemistry than words alone."  Judith E. Glaser

The ability to work together interdependently is one of our least-developed skills, yet our most vital on an evolutionary scale. This is so vital that, in its absence, good leaders turn bad, good executives become ineffective, and good colleagues turn into adversaries.

The skill of opening up to others - and of creating the emotional space for others to open up - requires deep trust. Trust is the most precious of the golden threads that connect us with others. Without it, there can be no WE and with trust, growth, change and transformation are possible.

We-centric relationships are built on trust. I trust you will not harm me and you trust I will not harm you. When we have that level of trust we don’t feel the need to duck into protective behaviors. We automatically assume a mutual support and we move forward from there.

When we experience doubt and uncertainty about the good intentions of others, for whatever reason, we need to recognize the importance of having conversations that bring us back to trust. Creating the space for open dialogues enables us to reclaim trust with others.

how we do it
Holding Space

At Mazzi, we are committed to personal and collective mastery in the art of holding space for others - both individually and in groups. We hold space for “experience to unfold in the revelation of experience through time.” We believe that people have their own innate wisdom, spiritual path and destiny inside them, and it is already unfolding perfectly.  We believe that by standing alongside others without judgement or opinion, that they will actually “experience that which is already so.”  This requires a willingness to shine a light based on our own deep dives (underneath ourselves) and into Divine Truth and Perfect Peace.  In that experience of Unified Divine Truth, versus the illusion of human fear of separation, true collaboration and powerfully connected creativity can be unleashed and harnessed.

Frameworks

As Mazzi, we have individually and collectively invested many years learning to use frameworks designed to bring connectivity and co-creative modes of operating to individual leaders and their teams.   The frameworks we embody and use are designed to provide structure for leaders and their teams to establish the context or essence for functioning in today’s super-connected world.

The global business world has invested billions in systems thinking, processes and process redesign, systems and systems architecture and the like.  As a marketplace, businesses have invested comparably little in an effort to understand the most powerful processor available to us as individual leaders and our teams - our brains.

The frameworks we use are built and designed to help leaders find the connectivity and creativity needed to solve today’s complex challenges.

In summary this means that frameworks we use are built and designed to help leaders and teams shift from cortisol & dopamine brain cocktails towards a oxytocin & dopamine brain cocktails.  We use the terms upregulating and downregulating to describe this brain shift.
